Ozark Earth Benefit at Headwaters School - Red Star, ARThis event will take place at Headwaters School on April 17, 2010. The school is located at Red Star, AR, about 50 miles east of Fayetteville on Highway 16. The event will run from 3 pm til 11 pm. Mountain Sprout will headline the event, preceded by Yellow Brick Road and Shannon Wurst. There is a suggested donation of $5.00. The benefit will help fund work by the Ozark Water Protection Alliance and the Newton County Wildlife Association. The focus of these groups is to raise awareness of USFS mismanagement of public lands, and, to reduce the use of prescribed burning and herbicides by public and private land managers across the Ozarks. Craft and food vendors are invited.. please call Shawn Porter at 870-446-6126 for information. Bring water / beverages and any picnic or potluck food items you would like. Also blankets and / or lawn chairs. The event will take place regardless of weather, so dress appropriately. If it is rainy or cold (below 50 degrees), the music stage will be inside the school. Otherwise, it will be an outdoor event. This is an all ages, family friendly event. No dogs please.
